Video visits are great for many everyday concerns, but some things need an exam in person. Use this quick guide before you book.

What to know first

Most healthy adults can plan ahead and book a routine visit in advance. If something feels urgent but is not an emergency, a same-day sick visit or a video visit is usually the fastest route to care.

  • Bring a list of your medications and doses.
  • Write down two or three questions before your visit.
  • Check your insurance card is current in your patient portal.

When to see someone today

If symptoms are getting worse, or you are unsure, call us — a nurse can help you decide where to go. For chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of stroke or severe bleeding, call 911.

The best visit is the one you do not have to rush. Write your questions down — we will make time for them.
